Rock climbing

While scrambling up a cliff face you will learn effective climbing techniques and exercise your ability to solve problems move-by-move. Every precaution is taken and observed while allowing for a daring adventure to be had. Overcoming fear, testing patience, and building trust in yourself and your partner are the most rewarding tradeoffs for your efforts—leaving a strong sense of accomplishment unmatched by any other experience.

Whitewater Rafting

If you seek out rushes of adrenaline and can handle the uncertainty of swift-moving water taking you where it pleases, then this is the adventure for you. Trained and river-savvy staff will guide you through rapids on the Wolf and Peshtigo rivers of northern Wisconsin. Bald eagle sightings are not uncommon, nor are the laughs and stories that come from such an escapade.

Caving

Welcome to an world underground. Encounter a new environment—dark, cool, and mysterious—as you traverse waterholes, caverns, and crawl-throughs. Timber-lee will provide you with all the gear necessary to witness limestone stalactite and stalagmite formations while exploring the depths of earth's geology.

Backpacking

Backpacking will show you a new side of yourself as you and your team hike to places only accessible by foot. Quiet hours of reflection, conversation on the trail, and carrying only what you need will teach lessons you cannot find in your daily life at home. While this is not an adventure for the faint off heart, relaxation in awe-inspiring surroundings is a promise.

Mountain Biking

This adventure activity tests your balance, reaction time, and agility. From racing down steep descents, climbing strenuous inclines, or simply enjoying a simple trail ride you will enjoy the dynamics of this sport. Sea Kayaking

Canoeing

Flatwater or whitewater…it’s up to you! Timber-lee Wilderness guides can take you and your group on a one- or multi-day adventure with a degree of difficulty that is absolutely your choice. Rivers like the Wisconsin offer gentle currents and opportunities to spend overnights on islands or sandbars. The Flambeau River, a bit farther north, boasts sections of whitewater with primitive campsites along the banks. We will provide the drybags and everything you need to have the peaceful and teambuilding experience of a journey by canoe.
