What Is Camp Start?

Camp Start is Camp Timber-lee’s first-time camper program—an intentionally designed overnight experience for children entering 2nd through 4th grade. Unlike a day camp, which offers summer programs during the day, Camp Start provides an immersive overnight experience. With smaller cabin groups, extra guidance, and gentle schedules, it’s the ideal way to ease into the overnight camp experience in a loving, supportive environment.

It’s more than just a beginner summer camp—it’s the start of a lifelong adventure with Jesus at the center, focusing on spiritual development and personal growth in faith.

A Christian Summer Camp made for Young Kids

At Camp Start, we blend classic summer camp fun with meaningful, age-appropriate faith experiences. Each day includes:

  • Bible devotions and prayer
  • Interactive worship with music and movement
  • Christ-centered lessons woven into activities
  • Time to reflect, ask questions, and grow in faith

Our chapel speakers play a crucial role in facilitating worship and spiritual growth, ensuring that each camper's experience is enriching and faith-building.

If you’ve been searching for a kids’ Christian summer camp or Bible camp for children that’s welcoming and gentle, Camp Start delivers that spiritual foundation in a kid-friendly format, emphasizing spiritual learning as an essential component of the camp experience.
