Every WinterXtreme weekend is built around one goal: kids leave talking about what God did, not just what happened on the tubing hill.

What your student is actually walking into
WinterXtreme is a weekend retreat for youth groups — your student is coming with their church, with adult leaders they already know, to a Wisconsin camp with on-site staff, real meals, and warm cabins. It's not a free-for-all. It's structured: large group sessions, small group discussion, free time, and winter activities like tubing and broomball, all supervised.

A weekend retreat built for students grades 6–12. Big group worship, a speaker who actually gets teenagers, small group time to dig into real questions, and enough outdoor chaos — tubing, broomball, snow games — to balance it out.

Arctic Blast
for 4th + 5th graders
A shorter, lower-key overnight built just for upper elementary kids. Same camp, same heart, sized right for younger students — age-appropriate speakers, simpler games, and an earlier bedtime that actually happens.

FAQs
Is WinterXtreme safe?
Safety is the foundation of our ministry. We operate on the principle that your child's physical, social, and emotional needs have to be covered before they can focus on spiritual growth — so we don't treat safety as an afterthought. We maintain professional medical oversight, with a Medical Doctor who reviews and signs off on our health protocols every year. From our high-adventure courses to our Science Center (which carries a USDA Class C exhibitor license), every part of camp runs on industry-leading safety protocols and regular equipment inspections.
What if my student doesn't know many people in the group?
They will — they're coming with their own youth group, the kids they already see every week. If anything, WinterXtreme deepens that bond. Ask anyone who's done the polar plunge with their youth group: shared cold, shared chaos, instant bond.
What's the refund/weather policy?
Your student registers through their church, not directly with Camp Timber-lee — so refund, cancellation, and weather-related decisions are made by your youth group's leadership, not by camp. If you have questions about a refund or what happens in bad weather, your youth pastor or group leader is the right person to ask.
What should my student bring?

Can leaders pick which speaker their group gets?
No — speakers are assigned per weekend, but every speaker is vetted and briefed on the age group they're speaking to.
