The Summer They Were Built For

Kids Classic Camp is a safe, high-energy fresh-air experience for 2nd–5th graders. It’s a week designed to help younger campers step away from the noise and into the life they were made to live.

"Our daughter felt like she was exactly where she was supposed to be. She stepped into a world of fresh air and real friendship, and she came home with a newfound independence and a growing faith. This was the summer she was built for."

A Foundation of Safety: Security That Sets Them Free

We believe a child can’t truly explore until they feel completely safe, so at Timber-lee, safety is our baseline. Our leadership team operates on the principle that when a child’s physical, social, and emotional needs are met, they are finally free to focus on their spiritual growth.

  • Vetted Leadership: Every staff member undergoes a rigorous selection process involving multiple interviews with different levels of leadership, alongside professional reference checks and background screenings.

  • The "Rule of Threes": We maintain strict standards of accountability, ensuring that a staff member and a camper are never alone together.

  • Professional Care: Our health services follow protocols reviewed and signed off by a medical doctor, ensuring every child is cared for with professional precision.
  •
  • Fully Present Staff: We require our team to keep their devices locked away so their eyes and hearts are focused entirely on your child, fostering genuine connection rather than digital distraction.

World-class fun: rediscovering green space

Kids were built to run, climb, and marvel at the world around them. We use world-class activities as a tool to show campers they can do hard things, and build confidence that lasts.

  • The Science Center: A unique, USDA-licensed facility that follows the same high standards of animal care as major zoos. With over 60 species (including chinchillas, lizards, and "big rabbits") it offers an educational experience where kids can check out the wonder of nature up close.

  • Waterfront Thrills: Our lakefront features commercial-grade slides that provide the same excitement as a waterpark, including one that launches campers directly into the lake.

  • Success-Based Adventure: We want kids to love new challenges. On our 900-foot zipline, four parallel lines allow "BFFs to go together," turning a brave moment into a shared victory. Even at the archery range, we set the stage for success so that every camper walks away feeling proud of what they’ve accomplished.

  • The Fishing Dock: A camp favorite where even first-timers often catch multiple fish in a single afternoon, proving to themselves that they can master a new skill.

Spiritual Impact: A Faith That Becomes Their Own

We believe kids are designed for a relationship with their Creator and meaningful community with others. By leaving the "noise and the routine" of daily life behind, they can finally hear God’s voice in the quiet of the wilderness.

  • The Creation Walk: An immersive, narrated experience where the story of the world comes to life through light and sound, grounding campers in the truth of their design.

  • A "Tech Detox": By removing digital noise, we help kids rediscover the beauty of real, face-to-face community and the value of being fully present with one another.

  • Servant Leadership: Our counselors are trained to do more than just supervise; they are there to look kids in the eye, ask meaningful questions, and model a Christ-centered life through service.
  •
  • Life Change for Eternity: Our goal is to move a child from "Mom and Dad’s faith" to a personal journey with the divine. We partner with families and local churches to ensure the spiritual seeds planted here continue to grow long after the week is over.

What a Week at Kids Classic Camp Looks Like

Arrival Day: Belonging from Day One

The journey begins with a warm welcome and an immediate focus on social belonging. We facilitate introductions within small cabin groups so that every child feels seen and known from the very first hour.

Days Full of Adventure: The "Fresh-Air" Experience

Campers rotate through the Science Center, the lakefront, and various climbing elements. Without the distraction of screens, they rediscover the joy of outdoor exploration and the thrill of physical activity in a beautiful "green space."

Faith Moments That Stick: Chapel and Devotions Each day includes high-energy worship and age-appropriate Bible teaching. These moments are designed to be the highlight of the day, where the presence of God becomes a real, tangible experience for young hearts.

Evening Camp Traditions: Lifelong Bonds Campfires and all-camp games provide the backdrop for the most meaningful conversations of the week. This is where friendships are cemented and where campers realize they aren't designed to go through life alone.

Heading Home With Confidence: A New Perspective

By pickup day, you aren't just getting your child back—you’re meeting a version of them that is more resilient, more independent, and proud of the "hard things" they conquered in the wilderness.
