What Is Classic Camp?

Looking for a Christian summer camp where your 4th–6th grader can unplug from everyday life and dive into an unforgettable experience? Welcome to Classic Camp at Camp Timber-lee—a week-long adventure filled with outdoor fun, spiritual growth, and lasting friendships.

Classic Camp is designed to meet your child right where they are: ready for more independence, eager for challenge, and open to discovering more about who they are and who God has created them to be.

Where Faith, Adventure, and Friendship Come Together

Classic Camp is Camp Timber-lee’s signature overnight program for students entering 4th through 6th grade. It’s a fun, faith-filled experience where campers build friendships, try new things, and grow in their relationship with Jesus—all within a supportive, Christ-centered community.

From day one, campers are welcomed into cabin groups led by caring, trained counselors who guide them through exciting activities like climbing, boating, crafts, and more. Along the way, they’re encouraged to grow in confidence, explore their interests, and engage in meaningful times of worship, Bible study, and small group discussions.

Classic Camp blends adventure, friendship, and spiritual growth in a way that helps kids feel known, challenged, and loved. It’s more than just a week at camp—it’s an experience they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Classic Camp Activities

Classic Camp is bursting with unforgettable experiences designed to help campers grow, explore, and have an incredible time. Every day is filled with hands-on fun, new challenges, and opportunities to build friendships—all in the beauty of God’s creation. Here’s just a taste of what campers can look forward to:

Climb the Tower or Zip Down a Line

Campers take on exciting physical challenges on our climbing wall and ropes courses, learning to overcome fears, work together, and build confidence—all while having a blast high above the ground.

Explore Nature Hands-On

At the Timber-lee Science Education Center, campers get up close with animals, dive into the wonders of ecosystems, and engage in science activities that bring creation to life in an interactive and faith-integrated way.

Make a Splash at the Waterfront

Whether they’re swimming, paddleboating, or just soaking in the sunshine, the waterfront is a camper favorite. It’s a place for refreshing fun and shared laughter with friends on the shore and in the water.

Create, Compete, and Connect

From archery and crafts to crazy group games and friendly competitions, there’s always something exciting happening at Classic Camp. These shared experiences help campers discover their gifts, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections.

Every activity at Classic Camp is intentionally crafted to be more than just fun—it’s an opportunity for growth, discovery, and experiencing the joy of God’s creation in a new way.
